Terry Lee Parker, 47, of Elgin, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 1, 2008.
He was born June 24, 1960 in Elgin to David and Dorothy Parker. He is preceded in death by his father, David Parker and his brother Scott Parker. He is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy Parker Gault and two sisters, Bonnie Jenkins and husband Jim of Garland, Texas and Betty Ballard and her husband Robert of Elgin. He has numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Terry had retired from state service after 28 years at the University of Texas and the Texas State Teachers Association. Terry had a passion for Ham Radio. He was a member of the Bastrop Ham Club and the Austin Ham Radio Club. He has many friends in the Ham Radio network of Central Texas. He was also a member of the REACT Association in the Austin area, where he really enjoyed working at events such as the Trail of Lights each Christmas. He was also a member of ARES. Terry was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed attending many football and basketball games. He also was a frequent visitor at the Round Rock Express baseball games. He will be dearly missed by everyone in his family and by his many, many friends.
His family will receive guests at Elgin Funeral Home in Elgin from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, January 4, 2008. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Elgin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Elgin Cemetery. The funeral for Raymond L. Miller, 82, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Carrell E. Still will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday.
He was born June 19, 1925, near Wauk-omis to Virgil R. Miller and Eleanor Elizabeth Perry Miller and died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008.
He attended Morningstar elementary school, Waukomis High School and graduated from Oklahoma A&M. He married Martha McGann July 29, 1946. She died in 1993. He attended Bethany Chapel, Trinity United Methodist Church and Bethany EUB before becoming a member of Willow Road Christian Church.
He served in the Navy as a radioman first class during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He worked at Vance Air Force Base as chief supervisor, quality and reliability assurance for aircraft maintenance division, then worked as chief engineer/technical advisor at KGWA. He was an amateur radio operator. He was ARRL assistant director, west gulf division.
Surviving are two sons, Richard J. Miller of Dallas and Robert D. Miller of Tulsa; two half brothers, Doyle Miller and Milton Miller, both of Enid; one half sister, Merlene O’Bryant of Enid; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Martha, he was preceded in death by one half sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Willow Road Christian Church. |

Tommie J. D. Barnes, born July 8, 1917, in Wewoka, OK. Departed peacefully on the 29th of January 2008.
He was a devoted husband and father. He was a pastor for many years in Texas as well as Director of Missions in Oklahoma and Hospital Chaplin. He served his country for four years in the Navy in 1944 and served thirty years in the Naval Reserve.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. His first wife, one son, one granddaugher. He is survived by his wife Mary Barnes of Kingsville, Tx, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Also, four sons Arthur Barnes of Houston, Tx., Daniel Barnes of Harlingen, Tx., Timothy Barnes of Washington D.C. and Phillip (Destiny) Barnes of Hurst, Tx. One sister Lou Overstreet of Kountze, Tx., one brother of Weatherford, Tx. and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund of Retana Park Baptist Church, where he was a member.

REVEREND JAMES MILTON MOEHLE, 59, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008. Survived by his loving best friend and ex-wife, Kaye Moehle; one son, James Cody and wife Lindsay; four grandchildren, Roderick, Abby, Cameron, and Eddie; sister, Nancy Bryant; and three brothers, James Alfred, Howard and Robert Moehle.
